What We Have on the Gaming Floor
On our main floor we keep things straightforward: live tables, electronic terminals and slots, all running side by side. It suits short drop-ins just as well as a longer night out. Roulette is offered both as a live table and on electronic terminals. Those terminals are handy when the live tables are full and you would rather not stand around waiting. Blackjack is dealt only as a live table game. Poker sits in its own room, which we come back to below. Slot machines are dotted across the floor.
Before your very first visit, there is one practical detail. Every new guest needs to register and get a Player’s Card before playing any game. Registration is a single process at reception and usually takes only a few minutes. Once the card is issued, you just show it on arrival and you are ready to go.
| Game Type | Format |
|---|---|
| Roulette | Live table and electronic terminals |
| Blackjack | Live table |
| Poker | Dedicated poker room |
| Slots | Electronic machines |
We operate seven days a week from 12:00 noon. From Sunday through Thursday we stay open until about 5:00 AM, and on Fridays and Saturdays we usually run until around 6:00 AM. There is free on-site parking for guests, which makes late finishes much easier to manage.
The Poker Room
Our poker room is one of the liveliest areas in the building and it runs most evenings with steady traffic. Cash tables at £1/£2 are the usual starting point. When numbers allow, we also open £2/£5 games. The rake is set at 5% and capped at £5 per pot. It is a simple structure that regular players recognise straight away.
We schedule tournaments every day. On weekdays, buy-ins generally fall somewhere between £40 and £100. At weekends, tournaments tend to be pitched slightly higher. Exact formats and start times do change, so if you are planning around one particular event, calling ahead works better than relying only on what you might have seen online.
For a first session in the room, it normally looks something like this:
- Check in at reception and register for your Player’s Card if you have not done that yet.
- Walk through to the poker room desk and tell the team whether you want a cash game or a tournament seat.
- For cash tables, choose between the £1/£2 and £2/£5 games that are currently running.
- For tournaments, confirm the buy-in at the desk and collect your seat number.
- Rake is taken from each qualifying pot at 5%, up to the £5 maximum, without you needing to do anything.
- When you finish, cash out your chips at the poker desk before you leave the room.
The room is usually at its busiest in the evening and late evening. If you prefer to sit down quickly for cash rather than wait on a list, coming in a little earlier in the night, not right on midnight, generally helps.
Restaurant and Bar - The Maybury Side
The venue is not only about gaming. Inside the same Art Deco building, we run an a la carte restaurant and a late bar, both under The Maybury name. The restaurant is open to all guests, whether they are playing or not. We regularly host diners who come in purely for food and leave without setting foot on the gaming floor.
The bar follows the casino’s late opening hours, while the kitchen operates on its own schedule. Service times can vary a little, so it is always worth double-checking current kitchen hours with us, especially if you plan to eat later at night. For restaurant bookings, we are listed on OpenTable and reservations can be made directly through that service.
| Facility | Details |
|---|---|
| Restaurant | A la carte menu, reservations via OpenTable |
| Bar | Late-night service, aligned with casino hours |
| Parking | Free on-site for all customers |
| Building | Original Art Deco property, known as The Maybury |
This layout works well for mixed groups. Some guests can sit down for dinner, others may head straight to the bar, and the casino floor is only a short walk away if anyone decides to play after eating.
